oh, what a storm outside! i like rainy days. maybe because in singapore, we often suffer from the sweltering heat, so afternoon storms always brings some cool, especially to bad moods. hmm, im in the mood for a nap. storms always remind me of an incident that happened when i was in jc. i had stayed back in school with 3 other friends and studied until it was about 9pm. a storm was brewing already, and just as we walked out of the study room, it started drizzling. the wind was very strong and we could see flashes of lightening across the sky. to get to the bus stop, we had to walk under the sheltered walkway besides the field. i guess the only thing on our minds was to get to the walkway fast. the wind was so strong rain splattered on us when we were walking in the shelter, and we got very wet. it was burring cold. suddenly, we heard a loud clap of thunder, and the walkway lights were gone! we were in the middle of nowhere, out in the big field, and the whole area was dark! after a lot of half-walks half-runs, trying to move against the wind (i understood why i had to put on weight then), and futile attempts to take shelter in HDB void decks, we finally reached the bus stop, all drenched and cold and traumatized by the storm. and on the ride home in the air-con bus, i thought i might just freeze up. getting home never felt so good. and ill never forget that night.
