mr mah bow tan, the minister for national development, is in shanghai. this morning, the ceo and all the general managers accompanied him to visit one of capitaland china’s most successful projects in shanghai, chrysanthemum park. this is very good news indeed, because the company immediately went into a state of “no government”. the secretaries went for lunch at 1145 instead of the usual 1200, and by the time i came back at 1300, they were still outside. people at my department sat around and chit chatted the morning away. i realized i must be sharper to these things. stupid me was pretending to be busy working, while MW and ES were relaxing in their respective departments. i guess the news was disseminated in shanghainese language, and since i haven’t really talked to my colleagues (yes, 3 weeks at work already!), i didn’t know a thing. hmm… next time must learn to read their body languages. i wonder when’s the next loafing chance?
