yesterday evening, after shopping for books and cds at the shanghai bookstore, we went to 兴旺 for dinner. 兴旺 is a restaurant selling very nice hong kong food, and it’s very near to our work place. prices there are comparable to singapore food court prices, so we would go only when we feel rich. the two guys were in splurging mode these days, so it’s 2 votes to 1.
the reason why i didn’t really mind going 兴旺 was because of eye candy! there’s a waiter who’s really cute! (or, i should say pretty) think he’s about 18 years old, nice pink complexion, big eyes, sharp nose… he looks like a smaller size zai zai in F4. woohoo!
he didn’t served our table, and i thought i could eat my rice while beoing him. of course, beo young boy must be discreet. but i made a gigantic mistake by telling MW and ES about him the last time we came. when he was walking towards our table from the direction behind me, MW suddenly said very loudly, “eh, 你的帅哥来了.”
don’t know if he heard. it’ll be hard not to hear. but it’s pretty funny how he seemed to avoid our table like plague for the rest of the meal. until MW motioned him to come over when we were to foot the bill. MW suddenly said to him, “这位小姐…” and he walked away blushing, without waiting for MW to complete the sentence! hiyo, so cute!
somehow, this incident reminded me of the times when i was a waitress at wisma pizza hut. i remember getting teased by some customers, who probably ran out of jokes, and decided to tease the blur waitress who kept blundering. it was often very embarrassing, and i really didn’t know what to do. of course, i tried avoiding serving these tables after that, but that behaviour would sometimes earn me scoldings, especially during the busy hours.
i was only 15 then. now it’s my turn to tease others. hmm, i feel old...
