yo yo yo! yesterday was the 4th day i learn harmonica, and i can play the prison song! *smart grin*
ok, i have to admit what comes out from my harmonica is more noise than music. but i’m really excited because i have exceeded the 3 days i gave myself to get tired of the new toy. and i have actually been practicing every night! isn’t it amazing?
although i’ve always wanted to learn the instrument, i didn’t know it was so much fun! hehe, i am always gasping for breath, especially at the a and b notes where i have to suck consecutively. my toy has got 3 octaves and a valve, cool huh? ES plays harmonica real well, and he help MW and me buy ours, at 30 yuan each. he’s also our teacher, and writes the “numbers” for the notes of songs so that we can practice. hurhur, pity our neighbours, have to endure our shouts of “goal!” during soccer time, and the “music” during harmonica practice. i must say i am the more hardworking person, MW is forever on the phone with his gf, and ES is forever watching the tv. (he doesn’t need practice anyway.)
i have been practicing 2 songs: 在水一方 and the prison song, 绿岛小夜曲. i like the melody of在水一方 better. 绿岛小夜曲 is a lot more challenging, especially at the end when there’s “d, a, b” consecutively, so i can’t change breath anywhere. *gasp* *gasp* it’s a lot more fun when i squat on my bed and practice the prison song, pretending to be a prisoner on绿岛…
oh, i’m actually doing such things to amuse myself, must be quite not right up there…
yoohoo! harmonica aside, japan’s playing tunisia today at 1430. guess who’s going out on the pretence to doing site visits? *wink*
japan… japan… all the way!
