Look!! The blog title has been changed to "cheery kite back home". Am I glad to be home!
4th day back in Singapore. I'll be going to Sentosa today!
Heehee, I know, nothing to boast about... the island's like a fallen angel, out of favour with the locals in recent years. Overpriced food. Exorbitant entrance fees. I can still remember, during my secondary school days, I had to save up for a week if we had planned an outing to Sentosa. And now, there isn't even the almost-fun Fantasy Island to look forward to. (Oh, talk about Fantasy Island! Do you remember the rumour about Zoe Tay's bikini top falling out?! *gush*)
I'll be going because hall orientation camp will be held there, today and tomorrow. I wonder how's the freshies this year?! I guess watching the "little kids" play the same games I did when I was a kid can be kinda nostalgic. Shouting the same cheers with silly zest. Innocently singing the "hairy" song. Eating the same yucky canteen food. Zhenwei was telling me there are little girls with attitude problems... hmm, I wonder if there are any eye-candies? keke, cute little guys are meant to be stared at! Especially since many of them still look quite fit with their just-out-of-army figures. *drools* Haha, but of course, with the late night suppers and inconsistent exercise regimes, most of them will inevitably slack off to become huge lumps of fats. (Hmm, brings to mind a commando, once-touted hunk, now, erm... *wink*) Sigh! Girls do age too, I guess. Came across some photos yesterday. Winnie and Qiaomei looked so young when they were freshies. Sigh! I must have aged too... *boohoo*
Thought it's time I get some sun too, miss those "dark" days. Hehe, always thought girls look better fair, unless you have the "say" to carry off a tan. Hmm... the fairest I've ever gotten is a light-chocolate colour, which kinda reminds myself of muddy rain water. But it's my own fault too, with orientation in june and intensive IHG trainings in december, my colour hardly has an alternative. I'm really envious of those Shanghainese gals who have really smooth and fair skin. *wolf whistles* Haha, but I'm never ever gonna make it, so like what Chung Eng once said, "if you can't beat them, don't join them!"
Sunny sentosa, here I come!
